Our fight to protect the economic and retirement security of manufactured homeowners across Florida is gaining steam in Tallahassee. House Bill 29 was proposed on behalf of the 1.2 million manufactured home owners in Florida and would aid homeowners attempting to sell their homes and increase the likelihood that new homeowners would seek the affordability of manufactured home living.
We would like to thank everyone who sent emails, made a phone call or paid a visit to their local legislative official to push for this needed legislation. After two years of hard work, the Florida House Business and Professional Regulations Committee passed the bill out of committee unanimously!
Your advocacy and determination made the difference, along with the leadership of the Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida (FMO). But there is still work to be done. Will you again make your voice heard in this fight for vital protections for Florida manufactured home owners by calling State Senator Kelly Stargell and asking her to support Senate Bill 114, the companion to House Bill 29?
Call toll-free 1-855-521-4799 and follow the prompts to leave a message with Senator Stargel.
Please share with all your friends, family and neighbors. Only by pulling together to fight for our retirement and economic security will we win.
Sincerely,
Ed Green
