Our guest speaker will be Jono Shaffer, a veteran organizer with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Mr. Shaffer has built a distinguished career working with grassroots community leaders and union members on a wide range of social and economic justice issues. He has first-hand experience working with community leaders researching companies similar to Equity Lifestyle Properties, Inc. (ELS). The lessons and techniques that he will share on this call are crucial for us to create winning campaigns.

I’ve been a manufactured home owner for over four decades. I’ve had a long personal history in fighting for the rights of manufactured home owners on the local, state and national level. Whether it was fighting for needed rules changes in Illinois to improve the health and safety of our homes or taking on community owners who were engaging in behaviors that can harm our communities, one thing is certain….we need to collectively do our research and involve as many homeowners as possible to protect our economic and retirement security.
